- Birth & Death Dates: from Evelyn Young from Chapel cemetery listing- #200258
Some time before the beginning of the Civil War, (perhaps 1859?) Nicholas and Ann their sons and the two remaining daughters and the granddaughters all moved off to Parma, MI. (According to Edith Hammill), the immediate reason for the move was that after the births of Lizzie and Carrie, "the doctor told Uncle Charlie that Aunt Anna must have a change of scene. She had had at least one mental breakdown." [Source 483] [7, 8, 9]
- After arriving in the US, Anne went to live with the Hirma H. Bunce family in Oberlin, Ohio and went to school for at least a year at Oberlin College. She met her future husband there. [Source 1538] [3]
- Their children were born in Ohio or Parma, Michigan. [Source 1538] [3]
